MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — New library materials are experiencing delivery delays after longtime local book distributor in Hartford, Connecticut, Baker & Taylor, is ceasing operations and will be closed by the end of the year.
Montague Public Library officials have shared that they are working to find a new distributor for their adult books and DVDs, saying the closure of Baker & Taylor is “a real loss all around.”
The distributor was founded in 1828 and has recently reported financial distress after a failed acquisition by ReaderLink in September.
