(Braintree, MA) Governor Charlie Baker gave his daily press briefing at Symmons in Braintree today. The positive test rate for the state of Massachusetts has remained at 10% or below for about a week. There have been 700,000 COVID-19 tests conducted in the state thus far.
“We hope that as time goes on and we slowly and carefully open certain sectors that the dashboard will continue positive trending,” said Baker.
Baker said he will continue to pursue every avenue to get Personal Protective Equipment, or PPE, to first responders. Cleaning spray, disinfecting wipes, and masks are still vital for the operation of businesses during the pandemic, but businesses should not purchase medical grade masks meant for health care workers.
