FRAMINGHAM, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Following a 2016 lawsuit against the leadership in the Massachusetts State Police, claiming instances of discrimination against female and minority troopers in career advancement, a jury has ordered the State Police to pay over $6.8 million.
State Police officials released a statement saying the department has reformed their promotion system and is committed to presenting a representative force.
