ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Orange residents will be gathering on Monday, January 12th at 7 p.m. for a Special Town Meeting.
Articles to be voted on include reducing the senior property tax exemption eligibility from 70 to 65 years of age and adjusting the whole asset limits.
Also, accepting Massachusetts General Law Chapter 90, Section 17c allowing the Board of Selectmen to establish 25 miles per hour speed limits in thickly settled areas and business districts.
Another article pertains to borrowing $137,500 for environmental cleanup at the planned airport hangar site.
