BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Governor Healey announced last week that she is launching a new program to fund local, municipal transportation projects across the state. The funding for the Accelerated Infrastructure Repair program will help municipalities work through their bridge repair projects.
Additionally, Governor Healey also shared that her FY27 budget will propose a 4.4% increase in local aid, totaling more than $10.3 billion, including increases in Chapter 70 payments, veterans’ benefits, and unrestricted aid.
