GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield Police assisted in the resolution of a kidnapping and torture case out of Vermont last month.
A 35 year-old woman from Claremont, New Hampshire was allegedly kidnapped for weeks while being tortured and held for ransom.
On January 24th, the victim’s ex-boyfriend contacted Greenfield Police, showing authorities messages demanding ransom. Police then pinged the phone, leading them to the location where the victim was being held.
Police tracked the alleged captor’s phone to Randall Hill Road in Springfield, Vermont and six people are being held in custody in connection with the case.
