NORTHAMPTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — On Wednesday, Patrick Veistroffer, of Hadley, was arraigned in Hampshire Superior Court on 21 felony counts of Animal Cruelty and seven misdemeanor counts of Unlawful Possession of Wildlife. The charges stem from the seizure of 317 animals by MSPCA-Angell from Cloa’s Ark Animal Sanctuary on Lawrence Plain Road in Hadley in January, following concerns regarding the welfare of the animals residing there. Veistroffer owns the sanctuary.
