(Greenfield, MA) — A New York man has been arrested on drug charges following a high-speed chase Saturday on I-91 north. A state trooper spotted the car in Deerfield that police in Connecticut had tried unsuccessfully to stop earlier in the week. The trooper tried to pull the vehicle over, but the driver allegedly sped up and was eventually stopped and apprehended in Greenfield near the Stop and Shop gas station on Bernardston Road. A small amount of drugs were apparently found in the car. The man’s identity has not been released.
