(Amherst, MA) — A UMass-Amherst staff member has been the victim of racial slurs hurled during a video-conference. UMass Spokesman Ed Blagazewski said the incident occurred at a College of Computer Information and Computer Sciences virtual lunch event. Several unknown participants somehow got on the call and began hurling racial epithets at the African-American staffer. The incident is under investigation.
