GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — For the first time since 2013, statewide opioid-related deaths dropped below 1,000 individuals in 2025.
However, Franklin County and the North Quabbin region experienced twelve fatalities, remaining level between 2024 and 2025.
There has been a decrease since the peak of 48 deaths locally in 2021.
