MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Montague residents will be voting on the purchase of a new 3,000 galloon tanker for the Montague Center Fire Department at the Annual Town Meeting on June 25th.
The current tanker is over 30 years old, five years beyond the National Fire Protection Agency maximum lifespan and is a necessary piece of equipment to transport water to fires.
There will be an informational meeting on June 18th at 6 p.m. at the fire station to discuss the proposal.
