GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Last night, the Greenfield City Council approved the Mayor’s proposed $70,018,736 operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year, beginning July 1st.
The Council did make one amendment to the budget after Police Chief Todd Dodge emailed in Wednesday to reduce their expense line by $6,000 for building and maintenance supplies.
Councilors did discuss desire to continue efforts for the Recreation Department’s Rec Room middle school afterschool program, which will be cut as a result of staffing reductions.
