ERVING, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Erving Conservation Commission has heard Erving Industries’ proposal for a 3.2 megawatt battery energy storage system across Route 2 from the paper mill. The storage system would hold excess power the turbine generates, rather than sending it out on the energy grid. The turbine generates approximately 90% of the energy needed for Erving Industries.
