GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A house fire claimed the life of a cat in Greenfield early Tuesday morning.
Just after 1 a.m. Greenfield Fire responded to 54 White Birch Avenue where they found a large fire at the back of a single family home, which caused extensive damage.
All occupants of the home and one other cat escaped without injury. The fire is believed to have been started accidentally by a clothes dryer.
