GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Appeals Court has affirmed the voluntary manslaughter conviction of Cara Rintala in the 2010 killing of her wife, Annamarie Cochrane Rintala. In the first known murder case in Hampshire County history to be tried four times, Rintala was convicted in October 2023 of voluntary manslaughter for fatally strangling her wife in their Granby home on March 29th, 2010.
