SHELBURNE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — An accident occurred on Route 2 in Shelburne Wednesday afternoon causing a portion of Route 2 to be closed for several hours. A telephone pole snapped, bringing wires down into the road and causing all traffic to be diverted off Route 2, detouring through the center of Colrain. The roadway was reopened last night by 10:15 p.m. according to Shelburne Police.
