GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be closing the 5th Street “Green” Bridge over the canal between Greenfield and Montague for inspection and minor repairs starting Monday, September 21st through Friday evening on the 25th. The detour will take travelers either over the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge or the General Pierce Bridge.
