ATHOL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Athol Police temporarily closed a section of Crescent Street Friday morning while responding to a reported mental health crisis. The police spent hours negotiating with the subject before bringing him into custody without incident. Police report this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
