(undated) — The number of COVID 19-related deaths in Massachusetts has now topped the eight-thousand mark. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has announced that there were 19 new deaths from the virus Sunday, bringing the total number to 8,060. There were 224 new cases reported as well, bringing that total to 108,667.

In a related story, visitors to Massachusetts are being asked to self-quarantine for two weeks. The commonwealth is one of a number of states making such requests after coronavirus cases continue to spike in places like Florida, which recorded close to 10,000 new infections in one day this past weekend.
