Leverett Joshua Hill Fire Update Late Monday Morning

(Leverett, MA) Leverett Fire Crews and a crew from the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife are back at it this morning extinguishing hot spots inside the 55 acre fire perimeter. While the rain is providing much needed aid in the efforts, fire patrols are still on the ground along the perimeter. The department is also asking hikers and visitors to avoid the area, as there are still active hotspots, active fire, snags, falling limbs and branches, and dangerous areas.
