(Boston, MA) Yesterday Governor Charlie Baker signed the Mosquito Control Bill into law. This bill allows for State controlled mosquito regulation through spraying, community education, standing water drainage, and ground larvicide application. Towns and cities throughout the Commonwealth can opt out of pesticide spraying as long as an approved alternative mosquito management plan is in place. Mosquito Control will also be regulated through the Twenty First Century Task Force which will make recommendations for Mosquito control throughout the state.
