(Greenfield, MA) Detective Kevin Rowell signed off for the last time yesterday as he retired from the Greenfield Police Department. Rowell started at the Greenfield Police Department in 1995 when he took the midnight and evening patrol shifts. In 2000, he transferred to Major Crimes and was promoted to the rank of Detective. Later, Rowell was assigned to the Hampshire/Franklin Anti-Crime Task Force.

“It has been my honor to have worked for the Greenfield Police Department and the residents of this city for almost 29 years,” said Rowell in his last call to Dispatch. “All of these officers carry the weight of the thin blue line on their shoulders,” said Rowell.

Rowell ceremoniously transferred his patrol badge to Officer Truesell and his Detective badge to Detective Cloutier at the conclusion of his service.
