(Boston, MA) Governor Charlie Baker explained this morning the spike in COVID-19 cases reported on Wednesday, July 29. Baker said the spike was due to a delay in reporting from a major hospital group.
“Our goal is to drive down numbers but that is only possible with the vigilance and compliance of every resident,” said Baker.
Baker said the Commonwealth has seen a slight uptick in positive testing rates, due to some residents not wearing masks and not following social distancing guidelines.
“A vaccine can’t come soon enough,” said Baker.
