(Holyoke, MA) The Holyoke Soldier’s Home Resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has since tested negative, according to EHS spokesperson Brooke Karanovich. Six staff members who tested positive and were since clinically recovered have since tested positive again, Karanovich said.

“The Home has been implementing protocols for clinically recovered individuals per the CDC, and will continue to take full precautions for any suspected positive resident. This week, the Home is requiring a second round of full house testing for all residents and staff,” said Karanovich in the statement.

As of right now, the only resident who has tested positive for COVID-19 is the original resident who was tested Monday. An immediate deep cleaning is taking place at the home and room mates and units are being isolated as necessary.
