(undated) — Franklin and Hampshire counties were spared from a tornado which touched down in Western Mass early last night. Tornado warnings were issued for all four western counties at around 7 Sunday night. A twister was believed to have touched down in Sandisfield, Blanford and Tolland areas, though it has not been confirmed as yet by the National Weather Service. Much of the rest of the area were hit mostly by thunderstorms, some of which rolled in later in the evening.
It’s going to feel very much like the tropics around the region over the next couple of days. Extremely humid weather is expected today and tomorrow as the remnants of the latest tropical storm approach the area. Heavy soaking rains are expected on Tuesday with somewhat cooler temperatures, followed by more tolerable conditions by later in the week.
