(Franklin County, MA) Communities in Franklin County are still cleaning up from last night’s storm, including Leverett where Richardson Road and Amherst Road are still closed. Broad Hill road may also still be closed near Rt. 33 but North Leverett Road is now open. At one point 202 in New Salem was completely blocked off by a fallen tree. No updates yet regarding that road closure. Rt. 116 in Conway was shut down from a fallen tree but has since reopened. Several roads in Ware remain closed and Grenville Park and Town Cemeteries are closed in Ware due to hazardous trees waiting to be cleaned up.
Eversource said they had teams working throughout the night to resolve power outages. National Grid in Ware flagged the power outages as a level 3 event, so the 1,900 without power should expect restoration in a 72 hour period.
