Greenfield Franklin Tech Representative Resigns

(GREENFIELD) –Greenfield’s representative to the Franklin County Technical School Board has resigned, citing personal reasons related to the Covid 19 pandemic. Christopher Joseph stated in an email to Greenfield Mayor Roxann Wedegartner that he could not be associated with an organization that “devises plans to allow children or employees to enter environments that I find unsafe”.

Franklin Tech last week unveiled plans to open school on September 16.

Greenfield Fire Department remembers 9/11 24 years later: “We will never forget”

On this 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on America, the Greenfield Fire Department hosted a ceremony of remembrance at the fire station at 41 Main Street.

Fire Chief Robert Strahan addressed a small gathering of residents and GFD members. Strahan said September 11 this year was in some ways was very reminiscent of September 11, 2001.
