The Amherst Town Council is considering reducing the size of gatherings in town beyond the latest order put forth by Governor Charlie Baker. The council asked the Amherst Board of Health how to prohibiting get-togethers of more than 10-20 people and also how they could expand the areas where face coverings are required. The latest order from the governor limits indoor gatherings to eight people per 1000 square feet with a cap of 25.
