(Deerfield, MA) Recently the Deerfield Police Department recovered a stolen vehicle and narcotics when the suspects rented a room at the Red Roof Inn in Deerfield. On August 6 Deerfield officers located the Dodge truck with Maine license plates at the hotel and confirmed the suspects were staying at a room in that location. Suspects Christian Browne and Christina Roy were taken into custody. Browne was allegedly wanted in Massachusetts and New Hampshire and Roy was found to allegedly be in possession of narcotics. Browne was allegedly found to have $2,000 in cash on his person. Browne will face charges of receiving a stolen vehicle, drug possession, fugitive from justice while Roy will face distribution and possession charges as well as receiving a stolen vehicle. As a result of a warrant that was obtained to search the bags belonging to the suspects, both will be charged with trafficking a class A substance.
