(Combined Sources) The operators of the Farren Care Center in Turners Falls are planning on closing the facility by the end of this year. Trinity and Sisters of Providence Ministry Corp have been in negotiations to move the operation and its residents on Montague City Road to Mount Saint Vincent Care Center in Holyoke. 154 people work at the Farren Care Center. Operators cited cost of modernizing the building as one of the major reasons for the move which must be approved by the state Department of Public Health.
