(Boston, MA) Today Governor Charlie Baker announced large scale rapid testing for schools in Massachusetts. Baker said details for the process will be provided at a later time. Students who develop symptoms should be tested at a COVID-19 testing location or their health care provider. Should a large scale cluster develop, Baker said the new large scale testing will step in.
Baker also announced an extension to the Stop the Spread initiative. The Stop the Spread initiative will continue in communities with the highest rates of COVID-19 through the end of September. To fight the battle against COVID-19 when students return to school, Baker said the Stop the Spread initiative will be available to help.
