A Northfield house caught on fire after a lightning strike yesterday afternoon. Firefighters were called to 42 Warwick Road at around 4PM after a homeowner called to say that the entryway of their home was on fire after a lightning strike. Fire departments from Northfield, Warwick, Bernardston, Erving and Hinsdale, New Hampshire responded. The fire caused minimal damage to the home and is still habitable for the homeowners.

Weather spotters in Northfield reported trees down on River Road, West Road and Main Street. One home on Main Street sustained only minor roof damage when a trampoline was blown onto the side of their home by the storm’s strong winds.
