The College Democrats group at UMASS Amherst made a statement on Friday noting that a letter signed by the group about Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse, was never meant to be public and they did not approve of its language. UMASS’s student newspaper, The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, published allegations against Morse that said Morse used his position of power for romantic or sexual gain towards students. An apology was also sent to Morse on Friday.
