(Greenfield, MA) — Greenfield city councilors this week will get an update on plans for a new public safety complex.
The council has called a special meeting for Thursday night to discuss the proposed facility, the cost of which is expected to exceed the $10 million the council has already appropriated to construct a new fire station, which needs to be moved to make room for a new Greenfield Public Library.
An update on the library project is also expected, as are more details on the former Carr Hardware site on Wells Street, which, at last check, was the Public Safety Commission’s preferred site for the new public safety facility.
