(undated) — This year’s Connecticut River “Source To Sea Cleanup” will have a different feel this year.

Because of COVID-19, the annual two-day late September event will be spread out over the entire month to allow volunteers to practice safe social distancing. Participants this year are encouraged to form their own small cleaning crew with people they already know and to wear gloves and masks.

Over 11-hundred tons of trash have been pulled from the Connecticut River and its tributaries since the event’s inception.
