(BOSTON) –The Massachusetts Restaurant Association says about 36-hundred Bay State restaurants–about 20% of the state’s eateries, have closed permanently this year. The MRA says things may get worse once the cold weather arrives. Many restaurants offer outdoor dining, but current state Covid 19 regulations only allow outdoor dining through the end of November.

Greenfield Fire Department remembers 9/11 24 years later: “We will never forget”

On this 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on America, the Greenfield Fire Department hosted a ceremony of remembrance at the fire station at 41 Main Street.

Fire Chief Robert Strahan addressed a small gathering of residents and GFD members. Strahan said September 11 this year was in some ways was very reminiscent of September 11, 2001.
