(Combined Sources) A new fire station in Greenfield will cost more than originally expected. Mayor Roxanne Wedegardner will be asking the town council to spend an additional $5 million to construct the facility on the corner of Main Street and Coombs Avenue which is the current site of an open-air market. In May, the town council approved spending $10 million for the project which is expected to start in the next year as the city builds a new library. The new library needs the space where the current fire station is located.
