Montague Town Meeting Set For October 13

(MONTAGUE) –The fall Montague Town Meeting is scheduled for October 13. Some budget items that were put on hold because of the pandemic have been restored to the budget for 2021. Items to be put on hold totaled about $660,000 and included capital projects and contributions to stabilization funds. Projected revenue shortfalls for next year in state aid are not expected to be as worse than first thought. The total budget is around $26 million for the town of Montague in 2021.

Greenfield Fire Department remembers 9/11 24 years later: “We will never forget”

On this 24th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on America, the Greenfield Fire Department hosted a ceremony of remembrance at the fire station at 41 Main Street.

Fire Chief Robert Strahan addressed a small gathering of residents and GFD members. Strahan said September 11 this year was in some ways was very reminiscent of September 11, 2001.
