(Northampton, MA) A Northampton Police Officer is recovering from minor injuries after he was dragged approximately 20 feet, when a reportedly uncooperative male party drove away with the officer’s arm still inside the vehicle. According to Northampton Police Chief Jody Kasper, officers were called to Roberts Meadow Reservoir for reports of a male slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle. When the male party became uncooperative, he reportedly drove away with the officer’s arm still in the car. After 20 feet the male individual hit the guardrail and the officer’s arm was freed. The suspect fled the scene at a high rate of speed and has not been located.
