(Boston, MA) The Baker-Polito administration has announced more funding into the Eviction Diversion Initiative for tenants at risk of eviction during COVID-19. Â Lt. Governor Karyn Polito said the new measures will bring landlords and tenants together prior to eviction and provide new housing quickly when a resolution cannot be reached. The Residential Assistance for Families in Transition, or RAFT, benefit has been expanded from a maximum of $4,000 to a maximum of $10,000. Mediation services will also be expanded to assist landlords and tenants before an eviction. To learn more about the RAFT program click here.
