(Massachusetts) The Trump administration has sent 2,070,000 state-of-the-art Abbott BinaxNOW COVID-19 point-of-care antigen tests to Massachusetts for rapid diagnoses of COVID-19. These tests diagnose COVID-19 in 15 minutes.
“Distributing these rapid tests directly to states is consistent with the Trump Administration’s successful, ongoing approach of testing the right person, with the right test at the right time, is working and the effort will continue until the pandemic is under control,” said said Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Brett Giroir.
The tests will be used to facilitate the reopening of schools, support nursing home patients and staff, critical infrastructure, and first responders, businesses, and economy.
