(Franklin County, MA) This Halloween will be a little different with the COVID-19 pandemic. To stay safe, the Greenfield Police Department is recommending a few adjustments. When possible, anyone giving out candy should avoid contact with trick or treaters and remain outdoors. COVID-19 masks should be warn, Halloween masks will not protect against COVID-19.
Trick or treaters should wear only a cloth masks. Doubling up a Halloween mask and a cloth mask could make it difficult to breath. Hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol should be used along the way, but is not a substitute for hand washing before and after. Stay at least six feet away from anyone who does not live in the same household.
