(Orange, MA) Orange is making some changes to account for the recent spike in COVID-19 cases. According to a letter sent to town residents, the east wing of the town hall will be closed until at least November 24 for possible COVID-19 exposure. Mahar Regional Schools will continue to stay remote, and the decision will be reviewed monthly by the school board. Last, the public will be excluded from attending meetings in person but can attend virtually via Zoom or watch the meetings on Athol/Orange Television live or on its Facebook page. The town cites a decision from Attorney General that allows the public to be excluded from meetings if the meeting is recorded. Parks and beaches will remain open with current social distancing guidelines in place.
