(Combined Sources) Fifteen Northampton residents named to a new Police Review Commission had their first meeting on Tuesday. The meeting was organizational and reviewed some research regarding Northampton’s Police Department. The commission is tasked with looking over the police budget, training and transparency. The group, made up of residents appointed by the mayor and City Council, are also looking at alternatives to the current response of calls centering around mental health.
