(Combined Sources) Those who travel on Route 2 in Orange have noticed increased construction around Route 202 over the past couple of months. Today marks the beginning of the Massachusetts DOT schedule that includes taking down the bridge that crosses Route 202. Work will take place Monday through Thursday for the next three weeks between the hours of 10PM and 6AM. Travelers should note that this work will require the closure of Route 202 and traffic will be detoured to Route 2A. The cost to replace the span is expected to be just over $18 million.
