Greenfield Expands Electioneering Ban Ordinance

(Greenfield, MA) — Electioneering is now prohibited within 150 ft. of any Greenfield polling place. The Greenfield City Council this week voted unanimously to expand the city’s electioneering ordinance to include any building or area where voting is taking place. The change became necessary with the establishment of early voting, which often takes place at town hall. The previous ordinance only pertained to the city’s established polling site on Election Day.
