(Boston, MA) The FBI has issued a warning about “peaceful armed protests” in all 50 state capitols. The Massachusetts State Police have issued a statement regarding this threat.

”To date, we are aware of no specific threat to government venues or to public safety generally in Massachusetts,” said David Procopio Communications Director for the Massachusetts State Police.

The Massachusetts State Police will continue to remain in contact with the FBI and will share information through the Fusion Center with the federal, state, and local partners. All available intelligence will be monitored.

“We will be prepared to protect the rights of freedom of assembly in our areas of jurisdiction provided those involved abide by the law and respect the rights, safety, and property of others,” read the press release put out by the department.
