(Montague, MA) — Montague officials have thrown their support behind a plan which would expand the upcoming overhaul of the General Pierce Bridge. The Montague Selectboard has endorsed an alternate plan from a construction firm which would see the bridge repainted and extra work done to clean its upper trusses–which goes beyond the scope of the project approved by the state, which has not yet responded to the counter proposal.
