(Massachusetts) The COVID-19 risk level in Massachusetts has been raised to the severe outbreak level, which is the highest level of outbreak, according to a COVID-19 data tracker called COVID Act Now. The link for that data tracker can be located here. The data tracker also indicates that Massachusetts has an inadequate level of contact tracers compared to the COVID-19 case outbreak and hospitals are at 86% capacity or a high risk of hospital overload.
By county, Hampden, Worcester, Bristol, Plymouth, Essex Counties as well as the island of Nantucket are all on the severe outbreak level. The other counties in Massachusetts are listed as in the critical outbreak level.
