(Greenfield, MA) The Jon Zon Community Center in Greenfield was busy this past Friday as 150 first responders received the COVID-19 vaccine. According to Greenfield Fire Chief Robert Strahan, there are about 600 Franklin County first responders that will be stopping by the community center to be vaccinated. Scheduled appointments continue this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Area police and fire chiefs have sent rosters to Greenfield to make appointments for their first responders. Volunteers from AMR Ambulance, the Franklin County Medical Reserve Corp and Baystate Franklin are administering the vaccinations.
